The leader of the organization of this year games was the World Council of Hellenes Abroad (SAE) in Oceania. Next Pan-Hellenic Games will be held in Canberra, as it has been announced in Darwin, where this year games came to an end with great success with over 400 participants all around Australia.
According to the Coordinator of SAE, Yiorgos Aggelopoulos the great success of the games in Darwin is due to the sponsorship of the State Government under the initiative of Paul Henderson, Chief Minister of the Northern Territory.
Main contributors to the success of the games also included: the Greek Australian businessman John Halikos, who was the main sponsor, the chairman of the Greek community and its members, who were responsible for the whole organization.
During the spectacular ceremony, was a performance between native Aborigines artists and Greeks.
A reception took place at the State Parliament, whose attendees included Paul Henderson who thanked SAE for their choice of Darwin.
