Sock, sadness and deep mourning followed Erasmia Kokovas’ death among Greeks of Australia. The 56-year-old woman was healthy, but suddenly was plagued with asthma that resulted in her death, as she was not able to breathe. Although she was immediately transferred to a hospital, she was already clinically dead. Her husband, physiotherapist George Kokovas, and their children decided to donate her healthy organs. Thanks to her family’s generosity Erasmia offered the gift of life to others.
