Museum of Ancient Greek Musical Instruments Travels to Australia

The Hellenic Museum in Melbourne announced that the Museum  of Ancient Greek Musical Instruments by Kostas Kotsanas will be transferred from Katakolo, Ilia to Australia for three months.

More specifically, it is a collection of 42 ancient Greek musical instruments, displayed at the Hellenic Museum in Melbourne, which is inaugurated on Monday, the 2nd  of April. The same day, Mr. Kostas Kotsanas will give a lecture on the subject of “The Unknown Technology of Ancient Greek Musical Instruments”.

The exhibition is the beginning of a range of exhibitions organized by the Katakolo Museum of ancient Greek technology in many countries.  It is in response to the interest expressed by numerous educational institutions and organizations abroad. The present exhibition in Melbourne will take place under the auspices of the Hellenic Foundation for Culture.
