Labor members accused expatriate former Minister of New South Wales, Mr. Michael Costa, of their party’s debacle at political elections. The elections took place on Saturday, due to the fact that he failed to denationalize Public Electricity Corporation. One of them, Paul Pierce, who was not even elected Member of Parliament, said that Mr. Costa’s proposal disunited the party, leading to those humiliating results and signaling one of the worst defeats in the last 100 years. Expatriate candidates also experienced failure except Mr. George Souris, elected with the National Party and expected to become a Minister.
