University of Cyprus Offers Scholarships to Australians

The University of Cyprus showed its interest for Cypriot communities abroad, offering scholarships for studies. As the World Organisation for Young Overseas Cypriots informed, the University intends to come closer with the Cypriots abroad and to attract students who grow up in different societies and cultures. For that purpose, it offers 25 scholarships to Cypriots abroad and to citizens of countries that don’t belong to the European Union. The most important thing about Greeks of Australia is that five, and maybe more, scholarships are going to be offered to students of Cypriot descent, who live permanently in Australia. The scholarships are for post-graduate studies and the university is interested in fostering its relationships with Cypriot communities abroad. Finally, the scholarships will cover the tuition and accommodation fees and will be valid for the academic year 2011-2012.
