Greek and Italian sounds and delights will be celebrated this month as part of the Keilor East Mediterranean Fiesta.
Moonee Valley Mayor Cr Shirley Cornish said residents could spice up their weekend at the festival, which celebrated the significant and vibrant contribution of local residents who originated from Mediterranean countries. “Moonee Valley has a long history of migration, including significant post-war arrivals from Europe, who settledin the northern areas,” Cr Cornish said.
The free all-ages event will offer a smorgasbord of delicacies, including food and cooking demonstrations by the Doutta Galla Italian Women’s Cooking Group, she said. Festival goers can enjoy craft workshops, jumping castles and pasta making, while enjoying live music performances.

The Mediterranean Fiesta is on Sunday, March 28, 11am-4pm, at Centreway Shopping Centre, Keilor East. Details: 9243 8888 or mvcc.vic.gov.au
