A senior sociologist of the Diaspora donates her savings for Greece

2222A senior member of the Hellenic Diaspora, a prominent sociologist from Sidney was the first to adopt the initiative of the Speaker of the Hellenic Parliament, Philipos Petsalnikos, for the establishment of a Solidarity Account for the support of Greece.
The 88-year-old Dorothy Buckland (foto), stated that “all Greeks abroad, whether they are rich or poor, must donate whatever is possible, so that Greece can get through the hard times it is currently experiencing” and also stated that she will open a special bank account, whereby as a first deposit, she will donate all her savings for Greece. She did not however reveal the amount.
Misses Buckland, has been working for years for Philanthropic causes and her act has overwhelmed the Hellenic Diaspora.
