Greek Man and Woman Arrested and Charged With Attempted Murder in Melbourne

22222A 43 year old woman from Watsonia and a 48 year old man from Donvale have been arrested and charged in relation to a stabbing attack on a Watsonia man in Rose Street Fitzroy (foto) on the evening on January 2.
The 44 year old man was stabbed at about 11.40pm on a Saturday night when returning to his car after having a birthday dinner in Fitzroy. He remains in a serious but stable condition in the Royal Melbourne Hospital.
The arrested pair have been named as Vicky Soteriou and Ari Dimitrakis. They were both charged with the following offences:
attempted murder
conspiracy to commit murder
intentionally cause serious injury
recklessly cause serious injury
common law assault
In addition, Vicky Soteriou was charged with attempting to pervert the course of justice.
The pair were arrested on Friday, have been remanded and are expected to appear in the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
Police have yet to disclose if there is a connection between the victim and the alleged attackers.
