Greek-Australian politician, Atahansasios Synodinos, an associate of former PM John Howard fro 10 years, has announced he will not be a candidate with the Liberal party in the northern suburbs of Sydeny.
Synodinos mentioned that he was aware of the sacrifices necessary for a serious political career, having served for many years in the highest ranks of administration, noting that his reasons for not running were clearly personal.
Synodinos was considered the front-runner for candidacy in Bradfiled, which will be vacat in the end of September, following the resignation announcement by Brendan Nelson, te current holder of the post, a few days ago. The run-off must now take place by the end of November.
